Brookston is a town in Prairie Township, White County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,554 as of the 2010 census. Brookston was founded on April 26, 1853. It was named after James Brooks, President of the railroad.
Brookston is a small community with a "home town" feel. It is centrally located between Lafayette and Monticello. Frontier Elementary School is located in the Town of Brookston. There are a variety of shops, restaurants, churches and banks for your convenience.
